WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT LIVE HERE. They screwed us over SO bad. First of all, we were paying well over $1,200 a month (including utilities) for a one bedroom apartment that wasn't even that nice. We broke our lease and moved out early, but were told we were still responsible for our lease until our contract was up, but that they would try to find someone to rent it out before then, and they would reimburse us the difference. (We had already paid for our rent until the contract was up, on TOP of the $2,000 fee to break our lease.) We moved out beginning of March, were responsible for apartment until mid-April. We received a letter from them in July stating that we owed them $260 and didn't explain why. I called the office and the manager said she would look into why we owed that much. She emailed me all the documents, and said that it was for the cleaning fees. On the sheet, it stated that the move out date was over a week before we were technically not responsible for the apartment anymore, meaning someone had moved in before our move out date, which means that money they owed us should have been applied towards the cleaning fees, and really should have reimbursed us the remaining. I wrote her back and asked her why this was. She never responded. Called the office several times with people stating they would have her call me back (she was the office manager) and never got a reply. I assumed they realized they had gotten caught and wanted to drop the issue. Around the middle of December, we got SIX letters on the same day from an Attorney's office saying that we owed them close to $600. Called Pleasant Springs (they finally answered) and they said they would not talk to us and any communication would have to go through their attorney. After a big mess, getting our own lawyers involved, Pleasant Springs dropped the fees, but we still had to pay their attorney's office a little over $100. Such a JOKE. Seriously, save yourself the money and the frustration.
