************PLEASE LISTEN*********** I really wish I had read the reviews here before moving in. I am nearly in tears because my husband and I just moved out last month after renting from pleasant springs for a year. I know that it's hard to find a place that is pet friendly...but it's not worth it. We had our bathroom flood while we were out of town and the whole apartment smelled like sewage. They sent carpet cleaners in and the smell never quite left. Now today as I opened my mail I have a letter with over $1000.00 fee for a total carpet change! They tell me I have 5 days to pay it but how is it that's our fault? My husband is in the military and I can assure you we are very clean people with extremely well trained dogs. One month my husband had orders on the other side of the country for a month...(in the military they pay you at specific times usually after your orders are complete) so he wouldn't recieve a paycheck for another month. They were going to evict us! Even though he had orders! Talk about scary...here I am....all alone and I couldn't come up with the money. I had to get a huge loan to not only pay rent but also the ginormous fees! Guess they don't understand what "government property" and "orders" mean! don't know what I'm gonna do about the fines....hubby's out serving the country again...go figure:/

There are good things about this complex, including the location/proximity to I-15 and the good people we met...but the downsides far outweigh the good. Police constantly coming to buildings near us, where it seems the management had intentionally placed all "problem" residents. One mother found drug needles on the playground. Pool was great during the day, but as evening approached it was a hang-out for people making out and drinking...not a great environment for children. We couldn't open our windows without cigarette smoke getting sucked in. High rental prices, and stingy practices about returning deposits.

I wish I could give no stars. The apartments look nice, sure, but the owners will do anything and everything they can to place fees and fines on you. They tried to charge me with a $430 fee for a pet that they said they saw with their own eyes during our inspection...we have never owned a pet. I pay my hard earned money every month for a parking spot (which is a mandatory fee, might I add) yet once a month they have some excuse to try to tow my vehicle. When I confront them about fees, they threaten me with their attorney, whether I have proof of it being unreasonable or not. The only people I have met here that are nice are a few of my neighbors and the maintenance men. Please, do not move here. This was the worst decision I have ever made.

Final update: upon moving out our experience was stupid. We professionally cleaned every inch of our apartment and they charge hundreds to have it cleaned. Not to mention $150 to paint the entire place because they said there were marks they couldn't get off so they painted them and had to paint the entire walls to blend it. Don't believe the list when it has a cheap price for partial paint! They'll do the whole thing anyway. The office manager has done nothing to work with us and the maintenance manager would always walk in and say the problem was fine. UPDATE, We got the letter on our door saying our lease expires October 31 and we could either give our 60 day notice or renew the lease. Well we have our notice and found an apartment we love and put money down on it. Well two days after that she texted us saying she switched it to November 31 and won't either reimburse us for our deposit or let us leave. DO NOT MOVE HERE! we've been living in hell literally and now we're pissed So far we've been here a week and I'm not very impressed. Our sink has been leaking and it's ruining our cabinets and no one has come yet. They have promised us they'd be here within 24 hours a few times. I only gave 2 stars because the people are nice. Update from being here 6 months.. they charge waayy too much for water, sewer trash and there's a required $95 fee for cable and Internet. We've also found that there are hidden fees everywhere! The hot tub is rarely working and I can never get a hold of the leasing agents, if I do they aren't helpful. We've looked into breaking our lease but require 2600 bucks + 60 days notice, but we pay 1100 a month for a 1 bed 1 bath on the top floor. We can't wait to be able to leave here. I'm sorry for my timeline of rants but I just want you all to know what you're getting into before moving here. We, as well as many others, didn't listen to the reviews and we regret it. We are happy to be gone

I didn't even move in and already they were withholding information from me. I had to read the reviews to find out what was true about this place. I confronted her about all these complaints and that made her feel "uncomfortable." I'm glad I haven't moved in!
